Ashot Bolyan, an Armenian athlete killed in Moscow yesterday, had no status in the murder case of Andranik Harutyunyan, nicknamed "thief in law".

Naira Harutyunyan, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of the RA Investigation Committee, said this in response to the question of "Haykakan Zhamanak". "A person with such a surname is not involved in the case. Necessary investigative actions continue to find out the circumstances of Andranik Harutyunyan's death and the identity of the perpetrator."

Bolyan's 40-year-old body was found near his own car with gunshot wounds. After his assassination, Armenian media reported that Bolyan was the organizer of Andranik Harutyunyan's assassination.
