Husband of Narek and Lilit Hovhannisyan left for Sharm El Sheikh vacation in Egypt, reported to MAMUL.am editorial office informing that they were in desperate situation. “My wife and I are in Sharm El Sheikh now. During the disaster, a 30-week-old (7-month-old) pregnant woman woke up immediately and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance, and since she was unable to give birth, she underwent a Caesarean section. The baby was born 2kg, everything is fine with him, but doctors say we have to pay $ 3500 to allow him to return. That is, until we pay the aforementioned sum, we cannot take the child and come to Armenia, ”Narek Hovhannisyan said.

Lilit Hovhannisyan noted that the hospital demanded $ 5,000 from the very beginning and, since they did not have enough money, applied to the Armenian Embassy in Egypt for help. "With the embassy's intervention, the $ 5,000 was reduced to $ 3,500, but the problem is that we don't have that money either," our interlocutor said, asking for some help.

MAMUL.am's correspondent has applied to the Armenian Foreign Ministry to find out what options are available.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan told our correspondent that she would speak to the ambassador promising to provide information on the issue.

According to the couple, the departure of Sharm el-Sheikh was not planned as the tickets were won by lottery.
