The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan, presided by Judge Vahe Misakyan, allowed Serzh Sargsyan to travel to Europe within the framework of his working visit.

In response to the question of "Haykakan Zhamanak", his lawyer Amram Makinyan informed about this, adding that during the judicial contacts Sargsyan fulfills all the obligations set by law. "We have applied to the body conducting the proceedings and have been granted authorization to travel to Europe on a working visit in accordance with the law."

The lawyer did not want to specify how many days Sargsyan had left, saying that it was out of his power. "The judge knows the days of Mr. Sargsyan's departure and return."

According to RPA Vice President Armen Ashotyan's Facebook post, Sargsyan is in Brussels, where he met with President of the European People's Party (EPP), former President of the European Council Donald Tusk.

It should be reminded that Sargsyan is accused of stealing about half a billion drams from the state budget. A few days ago, the court rejected a motion by the defense to remove his signature on his departure from the chosen country as a precautionary measure.
