RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has only two months to nominate RA Police Chief and Director of National Security Service. As it is known, on September 19, 2019, on the recommendation of RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, RA President Armen Sargsyan appointed Arman Sargsyan as Acting Chief of Police and Eduard Martirosyan as acting NSS Director.

That is to say, it has been four months since these posts have been headed by acting officials. However, this situation may last no longer than six months. In particular, Article 14 (10) of the Law on Service in the Police provides: "A police officer may be appointed to a temporary position, but not more than six months." The same applies to the Law on National Security Authorities, where this provision is enshrined in Article 23.
