Putin has nominated Mikhail Mishustin as Russian Prime Minister

Russian President Vladimir Putin has nominated the head of the Federal Tax Service, Mikhail Mishustin, for the post of Russian Prime Minister in the State Duma. As reports "Armenpress" the Kremlin press service reports.

“President Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with Mikhail Mishustin and offered him the post of head of government. Obtaining consent, Mishustin's nomination for prime minister has been submitted to the State Duma for consideration, "the statement said.

The Russian government has resigned in accordance with Article 117 of the Constitution. Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked the government of Dmitry Medvedev for his work.

"I would like to thank you for all that has been done at this stage of our joint work. I would like to express my satisfaction with the results achieved," the President said at a meeting with ministers at the Government House.

"Not everything has been done, but everything is never complete," the head of state added. Putin instructed the old government to fulfill its duties before the new government is appointed. It is reported that President Putin offered Dmitry Medvedev the post of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia.
