Gevorg Stepanyan, a surgeon at Moscow's Sphera Plastic Surgery Clinic, who is accused of strangling one of the patients in the facility, hid abroad after being released from the investigative cell. Lawyer Andrei Mishonov told TASS that he represents the interests of the injured Carolina Sargsyan.

"Stepanyan was recently released from custody and, hiding his signature on absenteeism, went into hiding abroad," the lawyer said. He noted that the whereabouts of the accused had not yet been investigated.

The results of the examination of "Sphera" clinic prove the guilt of the employees of the institution, added the victim's lawyer.

"We have come to the conclusion of the commission's expertise, which has fully confirmed the guilt of the clinic staff for causing serious harm to Carolina's health. The examination confirmed the guilt of the surgeon, the anesthesiologist and the head of the clinic, "the lawyer said.
